Delve into the transformative adventure of Neo-Shamanic Breathwork and evolve with the guiding principles of Jungian Coaching
Neo-Shamanic Breathwork is a potent methodology that draws its roots from the profound breathing techniques developed by Dr. Stanislav Grof and his late wife, Christina Grof. James Frazier, the founder of Neo-Shamanic Breathwork, expanded on Grof’s extensive research and experience by integrating neo-Jungian concepts and shamanic practices into this method.
This unique approach offers a powerful avenue for healing, self-exploration, and the release of stress, anxiety, and emotional blockages. It employs faster and deeper breathing techniques, evocative music, and a particular type of bodywork to induce non-ordinary states of consciousness. These states are akin to those experienced in deep meditation, rituals, and other spiritual practices. They have been found exceptionally effective in providing insights into the roots of emotional problems and facilitating healing.
Neo-Shamanic Breathwork is further enriched by the principles and teachings of other psychological schools, such as Jungian and Neo-Jungian psychology. These additions not only aid in the release of trauma but also support further development towards achieving wholeness in all aspects of life.
A key emphasis in this practice is on building a "container"—a safe and supportive environment—and maintaining a high level of integrity by the facilitator.
The term "Neo-Shamanic" acknowledges the variety of wisdom traditions from which this Breathwork practice draws inspiration. However, it's important to note that facilitators do not refer to themselves as shamans. Instead, they invoke the energy of the archetypal magician, holding space to reveal the divine within each participant, thereby respecting the powerful healing potential inherent in every individual. Through Neo-Shamanic Breathwork, participants are empowered to tap into their innate healing capabilities, fostering profound personal growth and transformation.
Meet Klara, a certified Neo-Shamanic Breathwork practitioner and a Jungian coach, dedicated to fostering personal growth and development. With three years of rigorous training under the esteemed James Frazier, who boasts over 36 years of experience in facilitating Holotropic Breathwork and one-on-one coaching, Klara is well-equipped to guide you on your journey of self-discovery.
Klara's interest in Jungian psychology stems from its core emphasis on helping individuals unearth their true selves. This school of thought embraces unique tools such as art, worldwide mythology, and dream analysis to facilitate this process. It underscores the instinctual motivation for psychological development, a concept that deeply resonates with Klara.
She is particularly fascinated by Carl Jung's exploration of the human unconscious, and the role it plays in shaping our thoughts and behaviors. To Klara, the unconscious is not a dark, unknown territory, but rather a rich, uncharted realm teeming with potential for personal growth and self-understanding.
In addition to this, Klara has a passionate curiosity for dreamwork. She perceives dreams as a bridge between the conscious and the unconscious mind, a connection that she believes is essential for optimal personal development. Through dream analysis, Klara helps her clients uncover hidden truths, confront unresolved issues, and navigate their path towards self-realization.
With Klara as your guide, prepare to embark on a transformative journey. Through her expertise in Neo-Shamanic Breathwork and Jungian coaching, she provides a nurturing space for you to explore your inner world, discover your true self, and become the best version you can be.
James Frazier, Klara’s teacher and mentor, studied under Dr. Stanislav Grof and was in the first group to be certified by Dr. Grof to practice holotropic breathwork. Over the years James has become one of the most experienced holotropic breathwork practitioners in the country. James’s mission is to combine Shamanic wisdom discoveries with insights about the human psyche made by the depth psychologist, especially the work of C.G. Jung and classical Jungians such as Marie Louise von Franz, Robert Johnson and Dr. Edward Edinger. James was also heavily inspired by the work of the world-renowned Neo-Jungian theorist Dr. Robert Moore.
in that concept James has designed a two year Neo-Shamanic Training program that provides practitioners with the necessary knowledge to guide their clients into deep healing process safely and effectively.
Stanislav Grof, M.D., is a psychiatrist with over sixty years of experience in research of non-ordinary states of consciousness and one of the founders and chief theoreticians of transpersonal psychology.
In 1974 Stan and his late wife Christina Grof developed a technique called Holotropic Breathwork which induces non-ordinary states to help release and heal past traumas.
