Neo-Shamanic Breathwork is a contemporary depth practice developed by James Frazier, a Holotropic Breathwork facilitator and Jungian Coach, who has been leading workshops across the United States for over 40 years. James was one of the first to be certified by Dr. Grof as Holotropic Breathwork facilitato.
This method stands in the lineage of the groundbreaking work of Stanislav Grof — world-renowned psychiatrist and pioneer in the research of non-ordinary states of consciousness.
Dr. Grof’s clinical and transpersonal research demonstrated that expanded states of awareness, when approached with safety and intention, can facilitate profound psychological healing, spiritual insight, and integration of unresolved trauma.
Neo-Shamanic Breathwork carries this lineage forward in an embodied, accessible, and psychologically grounded way.

Through accelerated rhythmic breathing, evocative music, and carefully held space, participants enter expanded states of consciousness without the use of substances.
These states may bring:
This is not performance.
This is not suggestion.
This is the psyche revealing itself through the body
Safety & Preparation
Safety is foundational to my work.
Breathwork can open powerful psychological and somatic material. Because of this, I prioritize screening, preparation, and integration.
For all first-time participants, I require a video consultation prior to attending a session or workshop. This allows us to:
This practice is not suitable for everyone, and honoring that boundary is part of ethical facilitation.
Expanded states are powerful — and they must be held with care.

Why “Neo-Shamanic”?
Traditional shamanic cultures used altered states for healing, vision, and initiation. Modern depth psychology offers a framework for understanding these experiences symbolically and psychologically.
Neo-Shamanic Breathwork bridges:
Ancient trance wisdom
+
Transpersonal psychology
+
Jungian symbolic understanding
The healer is not outside of you.
The intelligence arises from within your own psyche.
Integration matters
Expanded states alone do not create transformation.
Integration does.
Each session includes space for:
The goal is not catharsis alone —
but meaningful incorporation into daily life.
